Rules and Guidelines
Hello and welcome to MyJobPlz! - the Online Classifieds for Online Jobs! This is a forum for job searching and recruitment for online jobs!
phpBB 3.x, the forum software of this iteration, provides a FAQ regarding the functions of the software, which you should consult if you have any questions that are specifically related to the software of the forum that you can't solve on your own. However, most of the questions within the FAQ seem to be geared towards people who have never actually been a part of a phpBB forum, or are too afraid to modify anything themselves because they might break the Internet.
Due to the nature of this forum, these rules will be primarily implemented for the General Discussion area, however, rules on language and other clearly relevant aspects will also apply in the other areas of the forum.
All violations of the rules are dealt with on a case-by-case basis, following either direct action by one of the staff, or a meeting of the primary staff members depending on the severity of the violation.
The Rules
- We ask that you type English as properly as you're able. While, generally speaking, we're lax on this rule, excessive misspellings and violations of this are most frowned upon.
- Do not advertise your forum without permission from The Staff. We reserve the right to modify anything possessing an advertisement as we see fit.
- Do not make posts requesting information, or posting links, regarding serial numbers, bar codes, or anything related to these things.
- Do not make posts pertaining to nudity/pornography, or instances of strong violence and gore.
- Try to avoid flaming, or otherwise directly attacking, other users.
- No spam. Seeing as this is the 21st Century, there should be no need to explain what spamming is.
- We ask that you do not claim the works of other users as your own.
- Do not flood a forum, or post misleading topic titles. That is to say, don't make several threads with "J" or something like that as the subject.
- Do not post duplicate threads. If you see a locked topic, only then can you post a duplicate thread, or ask a Staff member to unlock it.
- Do not bump a topic unless you have something constructive to add. If a thread as been dead for three months, there is no need for you to reply to it asking what in the world they're talking about.
- We ask that you do not "backseat moderate". That is to say, if you see someone breaking one of the rules set, do not take action, but simply inform one of the members of the Staff and we will take care of it.
All rules are subject to modification without notifying the users, and are only enforced once made, unless otherwise noted.
If you have any questions PM or e-mail one of the staff members.
